I'm way behind on my DVD watching. I just got around to watching Batman Begins last week. I still haven't seen movies like Sin City or The Grudge or... a million others lol.

Another great vid as usual Charmax. I loved the editing, and the song fit pretty well. And I have to say that I really like the link image. It's so unique, and I love the Angelina pic you choose.

Hey Charmax, I saw this in [livejournal.com profile] vidding and wanted to comment on it.

I love this movie, so it's great to see a vid on it. The song choice was good, along with the sharp editing.
I really liked how well you used internal motion with the music, particularly the moment at 0.59 where Angelina runs to the drumbeats.

Thank you! I love this movie too and I'm surprised there are not more vids around. Who doesn't love Brad and Angelina? As for the song, it's been sitting in a folder on my desktop for so long. I've loved it for ages and when Mr and Mrs Smith came along I knew it was the right time to vid it. I'm also glad you mentioned the motion as I worked pretty hard on that.

This should be the trailer for the movie. I mean, yeah, spoilers, but seriously, how could anyone watch this and not want to see it? Or watch it all over again? :D

Sooo sharp. I was grinning through the whole thing. You distilled their chemistry *perfectly* and added all the right explosive touches. :} Made me want to get up and jump around and pretend I was in the movie. ;D Ooo, and those zooms you added--loved 'em. So damn zippy!

Violence and sex, what’s not to love about this vid? You really made danger part of the seduction on both accounts and thrive behind their marriage or more key to the success of it. Perfect song choice and I’m a total sucker for the way you portrait their relationship, how you throw in these little snippets of false normalcy killing their love and the pure excitement when they realized how alike they truly were. Plus beautiful people, breathtaking scenes and fun to watch, pretty much summed up what makes this film special in my mind. You really captured the internal movement both in audio and video here and tell me that I’m wrong, but this looks like a total fun project for you, I can almost taste your delight while doing it.

Astarte can you read my mind or something. Yes this was the most fun I have had vidding for a long time. The two vids I did for gifts were not painful but I did feel the pressure of a deadline. Then before that was the vidder's block when everything I tried turned to crap.

I did find myself wishing the song was a bit longer because I felt I was leaving some good stuff out.

And you are right I enjoyed making this. I even managed to solve a problem with divx that has been nagging at me for ages. Go me! lol

Beautiful work, as always! You really showed the chemistry between these two characters. I loved the film, too. They made such a stunning couple. Excellent editing and I liked the subtle zooms you used in a few shots. Very fitting song, as well.

What a fabulous vid! I loved the attention to movement, the fluidness of it. I've only seen the movie once so I can't quite remember if it was shot that way and the movement went down to good clip choice, or if you added most of the external movement yourself, but either way it flowed extremely beautifully - especially all the circular motion clips starting at 0:36 - LOVED that. Such amazing attention to clip speed/pace also, I loved the bit with the catching of the wine, the timing of it is just impeccable.

A lot of fantastic internal movement as well, I especially liked the one at 1:20 and the one at 1:26. And 2:18 is just nifty.

Wonderful work! I'm blown away by your fantastic editing. :)

I did pay particular attention to motion in this one so I added some external movement in with some zooms. I also changed the speed on a number of clips.

It is good to hear what parts particularly worked for you.

I really love it hon. Fast paced, lots of action and sexy too. A perfect insight into the film. You editing with effects etc was so smooth that if I hadn't of seen the film I wouldn't have realised that they weren't in the film. I'm going to go watch it again now :)

I'm very glad you like it hun. :D The last few videos I've made I have been trying to tone down my use of effects and go for more use of internal movement, sometimes that can be more effective than actual effects. This video has a few zooms and pan shots and changes in colour levels and that's about it.
