This is terrific. I love best how it's both celebratory (science! courage! friendship! ass-kicking!) and critical (miniskirts! terror! space aerobics, WTF!). The song choice is inspired, allowing all sorts of deliciously ironic juxtapositions.

Fandom needed this vid. I needed it. Now I am happy. :D

This was AMAZING to see at WisCon in a huge crowd of feminist science fiction fans––wish you could have been there! I am already thinking of this vid as WisCon's theme song. I also absolutely love the mix of sources, the progression through the vid, the tribute to Elizabeth Sladen... all of it! <3 <3 <3

That was bloody gorgeous - a beautiful tribute to sci fi women without leaving out the troublesome parts. I'm definitely saving this one for many rewatches.

I have so much to say that it's too much. This was my life flashing before my eyes. This is 9-year-old me who wanted to be Will Robinson or maybe Mrs. Peel and it's 11-year-old me who snuck out into the hall to watch Star Trek past my bedtime because Spock had my heart. It's 31-year-old, single-parent me who introduced my daughter to science fiction via Next Gen, and 48-year-old me who was so, so grateful for and in love with Laura Rosylin and Starbuck, and 55-year-old right-this-minute me who's so very aware of how far we've come and how far we have to go, and you can see it all right in this mighty awesome vid you've made!

So, y'know, if tears mixed with heart-swelling love and adoration was the audience reaction you were trying for....

I love this! I feel like it's the anthem I've been waiting for all my life.

And thank you for reminding us of all the wonderful women in SF (even if some of them were in fur bikinis), and I was so glad to see Sarah Jane, in particular.

Best Thing Ever!
