Believe me, I know what you mean about the insane amount of TV, but here’s the thing, Haunted just has 13 eps produced and the 7 I found online are all five or four star eps for me. You just get sucked into the life of Frank Taylor and I love the matter-of-fact perspective he delivers. I see ghosts? O-kay, now let’s move on to the things they want to show me to solve their cases. Plus his environment feels real, it’s dark and moody, but he has a very cynical and cool sense of humour and the way he got contacted from each ghost is interesting, like they can’t figure out to communicate with their newly dead status. They really feel trapped in the afterlife and not being able to move on, till the circumstances of their deaths are solved. So I would say, download the eps and when you have a afternoon or night watch them, I think you will sit through them in a row like I did. It’s fun, intelligent and a good scare.
About Supernatural, like you, I was positively surprised about the way they established these two brothers and their character quirks, they sure make a good team. Did you ever come around to follow Xandras other advice? Arrested Development? Now that is comedy, needs some eps to getting used to or at least the pilot, but it is remarkable. Hysterical, dirty and insanely over the top, I haven’t laughed so hard since early Frasier… And it’s even better!
‘The 4400’ was really fast in launching their permission and moving the storyline along. So I think part of your problem is that Threshold is a bit slow with introducing their mystery, but I like the unanswered questions it promotes so far…
