oh wow, I thought this was fabulous. I adore the bit towards the beginning on "I ain't got no weapon and I don't need one" - it's a perfect match of clips to music. Gorgeous.

Oh, this is pure JOY. Such a brilliant distillation of the film, so incredibly powerful. You use the music's build so well -- wow. The way you bring it together in that last verse and chorus, those sharp cuts to the hole, the hammer, the warden's suicide -- it's like being punched in the heart!

I'm all glowy and inspired now. (: And I want to watch the movie again.

I have such a huge soft spot for this film that I almost couldn't bare to vid it because that involves deciding what parts to leave out and I love all the parts. So the fact that you think it's a good distillation of the film is a great relief.

I did indeed have a great day fingers crossed for the rest of the year.
