I was nudged
by
bunnythenavia because I've slacked off the past couple of weeks, from lj. I haven't really been slacking off though I've just not been around as much as I'd like because the
vividcon Club Vivid vid making rush has begun. I've signed up for 2 vids again this year and like last year, I didn't get my ideas completely formed until about 3 weeks ago which gives me around 3 1/2 weeks per vid to edit. And although I'm generally a quick vidder, relatively, I am still feeling the pressure. It's my own fault and I usually do work better whilst facing a deadline but anyway, yeah, *bites nails*. So, what am I doing vid wise? Firstly I've got a Torchwood gen one and then there's a Life On Mars/Ashes to Ashes crossover. Both vids make me go yay! but the one song is so fast it's like I need to take speed or something to keep up. The deadline is May but of course they won't be published online until August.
Sweet Charity is starting up again very soon. I don't know if I'll have time to get involved this round but I'm pimping it anyway because it's a good thing and I think everyone of you should consider offering your services. Or at least make a bid.
What else am I doing? We booked a venue last week for our wedding reception and ordered the cake. (Flipping heck, wedding cakes are expensive!) We decided on a large round single tier, ivory ornate icing and ivory flowers on top with green foliage. All quite traditional. Really 8 months isn't so long away. You think "pfft it's so long I'll have plenty of time to arrange everything" but it's really flying by and for most things you have to book up well in advance. It's fun really looking at all the bridal magazines etc. The only thing that's holding me back is the finances. Heh Maxine really dislikes all that kind of preparation and I think she's just about ready to throttle me. :D
So when I'm not vidding or wedding arranging I'm walking around 4 miles a day to get in shape for the big day. Fun ay?

I ... did not know that was possible for Torchwood.
Huh.
We booked a venue last week for our wedding reception and ordered the cake.
Go, you. But what flavor?
no subject
As for the cake flavour, it's a traditional fruit cake.

and just remember to have fun while preparing for the wedding. It's supposed to be fun!

Thank you! *fingers-crossed* you enjoy this one. I shan't say too much about it yet though I don't want to jinx myself.
I think the wedding prep is fun it's just a shame my other half doesn't think so.

I guess you'll really be freaking out about wedding stuff by the time VVC gets here, eh? :)

The cake sounds pretty. Too bad Max doesn't share your enthusiasm. However, I bet she'll really appreciate your arrangements in the wedding itself :).
I should start going for walks too. Hmm...

By August I don't think I'll be able to contain myself. So much excitement and a lot to look forward too.

The cake should be pretty and if the free sample is anything to go by it should taste pretty yummy too. Max had damn well better appreciate it or it'll be straight from the register office to the divorce courts.

Good luck, sis! Oh, and submit your club vivid vids to yule ball, lady... :) http://community.livejournal.com/dragonconyalit/47068.html

So congratulation! I'm for you. :)
I bet it's all exciting but
a littlehorriblestressing to - so enjoy it while it last's and get to nervous. ;)no subject
I hope you change your mind about Sweet Charity. Maybe you could offer a vidlet.
The key to slightly less stressful wedding planning is knowing people who can make the cake and flowers. My friend is doing both for his nephew's wedding. Take the stress off you and put it on friends or family. :)

As for Sweet Charity I haven't fully made my mind up yet, I'm open to persuasion.;)
If you only knew my family you'd know why I'm laughing at the idea of them "helping", I do not want my flowers from the nearest service station nor do I want MacDonald's happy meals for my wedding dinner.
(Apparently I have no Torchwood icon, I must do something about that.)

I'm so excited for you. :)

I shudder to think how much these things might cost today. I still get guilt pangs when I remember how much I spent on the 'dress' :D
The cake sounds wonderful. I actually found the top tier of ours in an airtight tin the other week - we kept it for a christening even though we never intended to have kids. I chiselled off the still exquisite sugar flowers before dumping it. I wish we'd eaten the whole thing at the reception.
Glad to hear you are having fun organising, I loved doing ours.

I hope the wedding plans go well :)

Wow, there's no way cake would stay in my house that long!

So do I.

Usually not that long either for us but it was definitely forgotten.

The cake was the best! And damn, I guess wedding cakes are expensive no matter where you are. Did you guys get to do a tasting?

We did get a small cake sample sent to us by post because we weren't able to get to the baker's shop. It was a very tasty fruit cake and we have been promised a photo of the finished product before the day.
