Notes: This was one of my most popular videos when I made it back in 2003. Even when I took it down I would still get the occasional request for it and so I decided it would be one of a few of my early vids that I would remaster. astartexx you were my main drive on this. You own me, you know that.

I have been able to use some of the things I have learned since making the original. I have therefore tightened up the timing and played more with the colours. I have also been able to use footage that wasn’t available then. I realised quite quickly that most of the last season of AtS would be unusable because as it turns out vampires might not age but actors do. I did use the historical scenes from the later episodes because I figured that people would be so distracted by the dead weasels on Spike and Angel’s heads that they wouldn’t notice.

This remastered version has a number of new clips and the ending has been completely reworked. The main difference between this and the original is in the output quality. It is now much prettier.

Personally, I feel the weasels did a good job, you can't really notice how the 'boys' have matured and filled out a little. *g*

Loved the noise filter and the colourisation on the back in the day scenes. A very convincing AU vid Charmax, and really quite sad too.

Well, it's not so much that the vid is funny in itself as that it gets me thinking about Angel/Spike in general and what sort of pillow talk they would have. Which is funny to think about.

:00-03 - Right off the tone is set with the font and titles. I like that it's a slightly creepier, darker, and harder take on the song in a vid than usual.
:03-:16 - Nice "aged" effect on the flashback source.
:48-:56 - Excellent interplay of clips and great matching.
1:20-1:30 - Great interplay of clips again.
1:30 - Beautiful transition and use of Joyce.
2:28-3:05 - Amazing reimagination of Spike's siring.
3:14-3:22 - Very cool having Angel in white beat a black bag and Spike in black beat a white bag.
3:20's - Lovely orangish Angel and Faith clip.
3:32-4:08 - Once again, very awesome use of source we've seen a thousand times in a new and amazing way to tell a story.

Thanks Kiki. Personally I've always thought of the song as more creepy than comedic. As for the noise effect I went with that because I wanted something a bit different to black and white or aged film. It seems to have paid off since people seem to like it.

The Joyce part is one of my favourite parts of the vid. I always loved the Spike and Joyce scenes in the show.

It is increasingly hard to do something in BtVs or AtS that people haven't already seen. I keep trying to think of things though because I still love the show.

Charmax, I downloaded this about a week ago but I put off giving you feedback because I thought you might post it on Reverie. I watched it again tonight though and I couldn't wait any longer - I needed to tell you that this vid ROCKS! I love it. It's going onto my vid recs list :D The song is *perfect*. I love the film grainy color effect you applied onto the olden day scenes; the AU scenes you edited; the pacing; everything. I've watched it at least 10 times already :) I like that you also stuck to early days Angel and Spike - so much hotter!

Anyway, awesome job Char - one of your best! You should post it on the forum to go into RVA for the next round!

I hadn't planned on putting any of my remastered vids in the forum because they are old news and I'm really only doing them again to fill in time while I'm waiting for DVD releases. Hello. I've tried downloading this particular vid of your's twice and each time I tried to unzip it, it doesn't unzip all the way and it's making me very curious if it's my Mac or something that gone wrong with the file (though that can't be since other people must've downloaded it fine since you posted it).

I'm really not sure what the problem is, as you say others have downloaded and unzipped the vid okay and I have myself re-checked the file and it's all fine. The only thing I can suggest is to try again? Maybe using another extractor? I don't use a Mac myself so I don't know what there is out there but I'm sure if you Google you'll come up with something.
