Video Title: Beautiful Obscene
Song Title/Artist: Beautiful Obscene - Diana Anaid
Show: Hex
Summary: This pretty much covers Thelma's arc throughout both seasons of Hex. Despite multiple deaths and assorted mayhem it is on balance quite a upbeat empowering vid. I hope you enjoy it

Date: 2006-12-02 03:36 pm (UTC)I never came around watching the last few eps of Hex, but this vid is so gorgeous and I think you throughout captured Thelma’s positive attitude regarding her afterlife. She wouldn’t change a thing even with all the pain she endured and losses she faced ultimately she is still herself, stronger than ever, not a sidekick anymore and ready to fight. I could be talking out of my ass without the second half of season 2 unseen, but your editing made Thelma so much part of the world around her, tied into it that she seems more alive than the rest of the bunch. Fantastic character study and wonderful video to watch on repeat, how come the show doesn’t seem so stupid when you vid it? I can’t wrap my head around that fact!

You know, I'm gonna have to go and find out what's going on now.
Thank you so much for getting me into another show, Charmax! :P

Date: 2006-12-02 10:13 pm (UTC)So, technical aspects only. I'm in perpetual awe of your mad pacing skills, and how beautifully your vids flow. I think it says a lot that I didn't notice the cutting all the way through - the way it's put together just looks so amazingly professional. My favourite bit is 1:32 with the stop-and-start drumming. The lull followed by the action is just gorgeous!
Loved how it built up toward the end, especially the love scenes ~2:00. Don't have a clue what it all means, but the momentum just takes my breath away.
Now I'll have to watch this show! :D A beautiful and accomplished video - but then, have you ever made one that wasn't? ;)

I may not have a clue what's going on in the season 2 stuff, but the sense of her never stopping that push forward to keep fighting comes through beautifully. And it's a lovely song match. Plus credits! Liked seeing the title over the intro, and I especially enjoyed the end titles.
