Can anyone tell me when it is that we make a claim for the Club Vivid songs? And the deadline for submitting to Club Vivid is May 1st, isn't it?

I can't remember what happened last year. Doh.

Is anyone else having problems uploading to Bam? I've tried 2 different sized xvids and a wmv and I still get booted. I've already made sure I've got less than 30 vids uploaded, what am I missing?

What are your favourite, gender-neutral, non-angsty, just joyful or celebratory love/relationship songs?

I really, really want to see Exes & Ohs but because I am from the UK I can't get my hands on it. *sulks* I can't find it anywhere. [livejournal.com profile] lysachan managed to get the first ep (thank you!) but now I need to see it even more. Can anyone help me with this? Do you have it? It's available for download from amazon.com and Itunes. I am also offering anyone who can get this for me with reasonable quality $3 per ep via paypal. Anyone? I'll love you forever. :D

ETA: I have help. YAY!

Could anyone point me to a good DRM-protected audio converter? I remember sometime ago [livejournal.com profile] morgandawn posting a list? in [livejournal.com profile] vidding? but I can't find it anywhere. I have been using tunebite up until now but for some strange reason I've suddenly been getting lots of pops and crackles during conversion. Obviously, this is really not good, especially when it comes to vidding.

And while I'm here, is anyone having problems logging into Semagic? I re-downloaded it but I get an error message about my IP or something? I can't log in!

ETA: I have found a program called "WMA convert" which I'm trying out. I am still open to suggestions on other/better programs.

Do any of you on my flist know how to deal with CSS? If so, can you please, please help me out? ;) I have validated my stylesheet and it comes up clean but... I am still getting 2 big errors with the layout. One is the navigation background image (popping up where I don't want it to! Behind other links! Stay in the bloody navigation!) and number 2 error is the links I make within a page (bizarre wideness! Navigation image!)

Any help on this will be much appreciated.

ETA: Issues all fixed thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lim

Does anyone on my flist know anything about HDTV monitors? If so, would this here be a good buy for the price range? I've looked around and haven't seen anything better spec wise....
charmax: (Sound of music)

I am never usually stuck for song choices when it comes to vidding but recently after re-watching “The Color Purple” I decided I really want to vid this film and the song? - nowhere to be seen. Finding the right music that does the movie some justice is proving to be difficult. I don’t know how many of you on my flist have seen the film? It’s set early 20th century. What would you do? Do you have any suggestions? What I am looking for is either gospel, jazz/blues or a mix. I have looked at various artists both black and white singers but nothing has clicked yet.

Anyway if you think you might be able to help please comment. Throw some artist names my way. :D

ETA: I am open to instrumentals as well.

I have become quickly hooked on "Carnivale" and "Life On Mars" and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good vids out there? If you do, please point me in the right direction. My search so far has been fruitless.

Does anyone on my flist know of, or have any guides on how I could convert an old vhs tape to dvd? I have looked around quite a bit but can't find anything very helpful. Oh and while I'm asking, are there any specific hardware/software that I would need to do this?

Does anyone know where I can get a dl of Veronica Mars 2x2?  I've been searching all my usual haunts and it's still not up!

Finally found it!

ETA: Does anyone know where I can get a HDTV version? The one I have is crappy quality.

I will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend. I haven't been online much because I am still bogged down with decorating.

Help?

Can anyone help? I am pretty sure someone from this forum
http://bangaivn.net/forum/ index.php?showtopic=9993 is either hotlinking my images or possibly a video. I can't get in to see. grr

This url has shown up at least 30 times on the stats today. Grr again.

eta - my server doesn't allow the modification of htaccess so I can't prevent it that way, I just have to manually change links.

The problem has now been dealt with.

Help?

Could someone possibly point me in the direction of a good, easy flash editor or a high quality GIF compressor - different from the standard Animation shop? Any help would be much appreciated.
I currently have Animation shop and Macromedia Flash MX. Both of these programs are not really what I am after to do the job (Flash doesn't import AVI) (Animation shop = Huge output). I need a program that would import AVIs and allow me to compress down to a good size without sacrificing too much of the quality.

Any ideas?

ETA
Free if possible, if not, then around the $50/£50 mark.
