This was such a personal project for me having others respond to it the way they have is just mind blowing. I wanted to get the dead lesbians in without ruining the tone, that rather overwrought part of the song was the perfect place to do that. Grr, The Children's Hour-Cheer up Emo!Shirley it might never... oh nevermind.
I had to celebrate the clichés because without them we would have virtually no representation. I'll take the hackneyed over nothing at all any day.
