It was kind of a mixed bag this holiday season.

On the plus side I got the gifts I wanted this year. Even my mom managed to buy me a gift I actually like (a bracelet with an angel charm). My internet friends came up trumps with lots of cool stuff from my wishlist.

We put our nice new widescreen TV to good use playing Harry Potter on the playstation and watching Little Britain, Catherine Tate and Doctor Who. I like the new doctor. David Tennant was using his 'Casanova' accent rather than his Scottish one but I'm not fussed I like them both. The Christmas special was a lot of fun and the sneak peak at the new series looked great, cybermen, Anthony Head as what looked like a vampire, K9.

Me and Max didn’t bother this year with the whole surprise gift giving we just pooled all the money and got joint gifts, mostly DVDs, PS games and  the big purchase of the TV. We have spent so much throughout the year on renovating the house so we wanted to keep things a bit more simple.

I was totally wrong my mom loved her hot air balloon ride gift. She hasn't booked it yet so she might back out at the last minute. I still won't believe it until I see the photographic evidence.

On the more negative side the local evil tom cat beat the crap out of my poor Buff. He was in a lot of pain and limping quite badly. I took him to the vet yesterday and she gave him a thorough exam and found puncture wounds on his leg. She gave him a painkiller and he has antibiotics to take. She said we had to make sure he didn't get an infection because of his weakened immune system. It is heartbreaking to see him hobbling around but *fingers-crossed* he should be ok.

So the year is nearly over and for 2006 I have a few resolutions

1. I would like to get my vidding flow back on track and make 10-14 vids by this time next year.
2. to feedback more often.
3. To lose weight (again)
4. Quit smoking (again)
5. Spend more time with my family.

There are other things I would like to do/change but those are my main priorities.

p.s. The cats went crazy over the catnip toys and the catnip buttons. Scamp drags himself along whilst rubbing his cheek on it. It is very cute in a kind of freaky way. They all got nicely stoned at Christmas.

I’m sorry to hear about Buffs smack down with the cat from hell, but I’m sure he will be fine in a few days after everything he’s been through the aftermaths of a fight won’t be a problem for him. *nods* Glad your mom is excited about her present and you really came up with something – balloon ride! *squee* Denis and me had the same present strategy like you and Max, we go shopping next week and get ourselves some things we truly want. Apropos present, did mine arrive yet? Because I saw that you got Trishas and I start to worry a bit…Oh, love your new layout, it looks so cool and the torn paper effect is incredible, plus colour scheme – So pretty! *happy sigh*

Yeah Buff should be fine when we get these antibiotics in him. It's a real shame he looks so sorry for himself. I'm just going to try and give him even more TLC the next few days.

The belated Christmas shopping had more to do with shopping malls crawling with stressed people and me stressing enough over the other presents I needed to get, so we compromised in advantage and the dropping prices are a nice bonus! I really hope my package arrives soon, it hasn’t returned to me, so I keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Ahh I hate the rush that goes on just before christmas. Way to much stress. So many headaches. The january sales can be just as bad sometimes but at least you will just be looking for yourselves and not have to worry about what family member wants what.

The post is due anytime now so maybe it'll come this morning. :D

Ahhh be glad that Buff is such a good patient! Usually you needed to attack my childhood cat in an ambush and wrap him instantly in a thick blanket to avoid the wrath of his claws and he still got his pound of flesh out of you, if he had to take his medicine. *shackes head* But he was a good excerise and my girls are most of the time very tame, if I have to give them something and I have my hopes up for Dean.

Yes I did do rather well for gifts this year which makes a change.

I am very pleased with the layout I am glad you like it. I don't usually have boys as my header so this was a change.

Buff is still a bit of a worry but he seems to be recovering. He might not appreciate everyones best wishes but I know I do.

Buff seems to be getting better now his antibiotics have kicked in.

I have no great hopes that I will be able to stop smoking and lose weight but with a little luck maybe I can achieve one of these goals by this time next year. I hope you are successful.

I just wanted to say thank you for your Veronica Mars vids, they're fabulous. 'Every You, Every Me' is my favourite I think, but getting them all has kept me up way past my bedtime and now I have to rewatch 1x07. (And maybe cuddle my cat while I do it, he was also in a fight last night. He's a big tough boy usually, but he got a few scratches and has turned into a sook. So I hope Buff feels better too.)
