The Rules: The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 Holiday Traditions" and people who get tagged need to write a LiveJournal entry about their 5 holiday traditions as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged.
Free for all.
1. We always have turkey for Christmas dinner even though neither of us like it very much. The cats love it though. This year it was particularly unsuccessful and so we plan to go with goose next year.
2. We visit both sets of parents on Boxing Day to open more presents and eat mince pies.
3. When I was a kid at midnight on new Year, each family member walked one at a time ( going from the head of the family to the youngest) out the back door and in through the front carrying a lump of coal. We don't do this tradition now because coal is difficult to get hold of plus we don't have a back door.
4. We go up the local hills on the night of New Years Eve where lots of people gather and let fireworks off at midnight.
5. We open all our gifts on Christmas morning except for one each which we open on Christmas eve at midnight.
