I love the song choice again. you really picked that out well for the show and the characters. and it was full of candy and sweet moments and you narrated it very well.
Thank you for making this ! I'm all mushy inside now :)

Date: 2008-02-29 02:01 pm (UTC)the way you subtly splice together scenes to get the most information in the least amount of time (like in the pocket watch bit) is just astounding :)

Date: 2008-03-01 03:53 am (UTC)This is just the cutest most romantic vid. Ned and Chuck charm me incredibly much and you picked some of the best moments. I love the motion and parallels and how deftly you edited this. This vid makes me so happy!

Date: 2008-03-01 04:54 am (UTC)I am so in love with Ned and Chuck. I find them sweet and yet not syrupy, I hope the vid conveys that.

Date: 2008-03-01 06:06 am (UTC)They are the epitome of cute and there's something rather uplifting about vidding cheerful source whilst watching the beginnings of Spring through my window.
And thanks to freaky time differences I get to hold onto my birthday a little longer, doesn't get better than that. :D

Date: 2008-03-01 03:55 pm (UTC)I wasn't familiar with this song, but it had a breezy tempo and retro vibe that fit very nicely with the romantic longing and ironic technicolor of the show.
Your editing was lovely, providing flowing images that seemed to almost "dance" to the music (even literally so, with the wonderful beekeeper-suits scene).
I had only managed to watch the first few eps of the show before schedule changes, RL and the writers' strike intervened, but I look forward to catching up with the rest of the eps on DVD.

Date: 2008-03-01 05:11 pm (UTC)The song really is a perfect fit for the show, it has just the right tone and lyrically is perfect.
Thank you so much and I hope you're able to catch up with the show at some point.

Date: 2008-03-02 05:44 pm (UTC)I don't fall for canon ships that often but Ned/Chuck are just so utterly adorable I defy anyone to resist them.
Oh and thanks for the rec!

Date: 2008-03-03 04:11 am (UTC)Your transitions are spectacular -- the bits where faces of Ned and Chuck segue to their younger counterpart's, and the ones using objects like fruits and pocket-watch, are just seamlessly done but the zooming gives the whole thing an extra visual oomph. And just as the sweetness got to be a bit too much, you mixed in some clips with Emerson rolling his eyes, which balanced out the sweet with the tart. Just delightful.

Date: 2008-03-03 08:08 am (UTC)Most of the work in this one went into the transitions and I think it was worth it. The Emerson section is probably my personal favourite that man has the best facial expressions and it did go some way towards stopping the vid becoming too sickly sweet.
So glad you enjoyed the vid.

Date: 2008-03-03 09:42 am (UTC)This is SUCH a shiny, happy, fun vid. It's Chuck and Ned and it puts a huge smile on my face. Your editing is FANTASTIC as always, but as always it doesn't stand in the way of your subject matter, only enhances it. Fun, lovely, wonderful birthday vid. Yay!
