Looking for input:
What are your favourite, gender-neutral, non-angsty, just joyful or celebratory love/relationship songs?

Date: 2008-04-03 12:32 pm (UTC)Oh, and I have a disgusting fondness for "Here in your car" by hellogoodbye. It's very shaming.
Oh, oh, and this isn't gender neutral, but if the purpose of the request is what I think it is, it might work anyway - Weezer, Buddy Holly.
I'm shutting up now :-).

Umbrella - Rihanna
You Are So Beautiful - Joe Cocker

Date: 2008-04-03 02:59 pm (UTC)"Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows
"Heaven" by Bryan Adams (covered by DJ Sammy/Yanou if you want female vocals. They have an upbeat dance version and a slow "Candlenight" mix)
"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by...well, whichever version you like best. :)
"I Say a Little Prayer" by Dionne Warwick or Aretha Franklin
"With You" by Jessica Simpson (first verse has references to the singer being female, which may mess up the gender-neutralness)

Date: 2008-04-03 08:35 pm (UTC)"That's Where It Is" by Carrie Underwood is the first one I could think of.
"I'll Be" by Edwin McCain is rather non-angsty, too.

Date: 2008-04-04 12:31 am (UTC)No One, by Alicia Keys
Better Together, by Jack Johnson
The Way You Look Tonight, by (take your pick!)
The Way I Am, by Ingrid Michaelson (not quite gender-neutral, depends on how you look at hair loss)
Danny's Song, by Me First & the Gimme Gimmes
First Day of my Life, by Bright Eyes
Oh, by Dave Matthews Band
I Kissed A Girl, by Jill Sobule (classic!)
You and Me, by Lifehouse
Okay, that should be enough to get you started. Coincedentally, "Happy Together" was Steph and I's first dance. :)
