charmax: (Sweet Charity)

My neighbour's smoke alarm has been going solidly for 48hrs and it's driving me nuts. He is in hospital and no one will do anything about switching the damn thing off. Arghhhh. It's fitted to the mains electricity so at the moment there is no hope in sight. The bloody council! It should be their job to sort it out as he's their tenant but they won't get off their arses to do anything about it, even after 3 phone calls. Maybe I'm not assertive enough or maybe they're too lazy. WTF?!

Has anyone seen that Brit show "Grumpy old women"? That's what I've become.

Oh my god. That can't be right. I'd phone enviromental health now. I mean 48 hours must be long enough to for it to be considered a noise problem. Wednesday is far to long for you to have to put up with that. I'd keep ringing the council and enviromental health until they get fed up and have to do something about it. I'll keep my fingers crossed the batteries run out soon! hugs x

If it ran on batteries then maybe it wouldn't be so bad (batteries don't last very long do they?) but I think it's actually hooked up to the mains electric.

What I'm going to do tomorrow is phone the council yet again and possibly email A-----'s SW. See where that gets us.

Thanks hun.
