According to the rules "All entries must include at least one of 5 free video clips or 10 free still images" They provide these free for you >here<
Without quoting everything I will give you the rest of the rules >here<

Oh and the categories are "Funny" "Not Funny"

I am seriously considering this. Anyone else up for it?

Wow. Those are some fancy prizes. ::boggle::

If I had more free time, I would strongly consider this. I like the idea of companies offering footage for us to play with, and I've worked with iStockPhoto.com for a long time and they are a great service. The whole thing looks utterly groovy.

If you decide to go for it, I'll be leading the cheering squad.

I have always loved istockphoto.com but since they added video stock it's been like heaven. I haven't got an idea for this contest yet but I will be thinking seriously about it.

Maybe you could give it a shot in future!

I'd love to! If they have it some year when I'm not working full time, taking clients, and curating the DIY Video Festival. *g*

Here's hoping you get inspired.

Heh I keep forgetting most people have a real life in the real world. You sound busy busy. And curating a DIY Video Festival? That is awesome.

Well, real lives aren't all they're cracked up to be, you know. (:

And the DIY Fest *is* awesome (http://laurashapiro.livejournal.com/tag/diy%20video%20fest). I'm definitely going to be looking for input, so I encourage you to check out the info and think about possible eligibility criteria...and which vids you might want to submit!

I read the rules & this may be a factor in whether you should enter:

"Open only to individuals who are at least the age of majority and who are legal residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) or of a country or jurisdiction in which the Contest Rules fully satisfy all legal requirements for a contest of this nature.

It would be worth sending them an email to make sure you can enter - seeing as your in the UK, Char.

I wouldn't want to see you waste your time & energy only to be jipped by some dodgy ruling. Especially when you could have put that passion into a vid. ;)
