This is part 2 of the ongoing vid/let challenge with astartexx (part 1 was "Protege Moi".) Astarte gave me the song but didn't specify any show or character, Niki/Jessica just spoke to me. The major problem was how to get across the concept of Crazy Brain Twin. The video feels disjointed very much like the two characters. As the video was set as a challenge it gave me the opportunity to experiment a lot more with effects and come out of my comfort zone a bit. Some of these are more subtle and some are in your face. For those who haven't seen the show Jessica's the psycho with the tattoo but honestly that won't help much because even when she's not on screen she's still sort of there. It's probably the one time where pov confusion is actually intentional. lol

Oh my god. That was just insanely (har, har) cool. I loved all your effects work, the split screens, the radial blurs especially - what a fabulous way to communicate the fractured connection between the two characters. You + Heroes = Win. Yay!

Thanks Nicky. It was fun playing with new effects. The split screens are kind of a new concept for me, I've always filled the frame before but I wanted to see if I could break out of that a bit. Anyway I'm glad you thought it worked.

As for the watermark I wish I could say I was a tech genius but alas, no it's just that I have High Res copies that are large enough to move the logo off screen in a 720x400 project piece of piss really. Obviously you miss some off the bottom and sides of the source but I prefer that to the bug showing.

Oooh, I made you flail! The song turned out to be just right for the character. It's funny the split screens reminded you of "Ocean's 11" because I was actually influenced by "Spooks" add in "24" and those damn split screens are everywhere!

Thanks, Steph! I can't say I enjoyed doing the split screens at first (fiddly little buggers) but once I got the hang of it they were a lot of fun to play with.
