Happy Birthday Sassy! I hope it's all you wish for! *mwah*

Did the gifts arrive? I am still working on the vid, sorry I couldn't get it finished in time. How about a Birthday Mix for now?

It's been sometime since I made a fanmix so if you could get me to do one what would you choose?

[Poll #1193619]

This poll is now closed. The mix for the winning fandom is posted here.

This post will be flocked until after I've posted my vid. *g*

When I was looking for vid songs for the Master I had quite a few to choose from as you can see from this playlist. Each song says something about the character or reflects a certain aspect of his persona. I think I've chosen a good mix of the absurd and the serious. This is my first fanmix, of many I hope. Enjoy. :)

I am never usually stuck for song choices when it comes to vidding but recently after re-watching “The Color Purple” I decided I really want to vid this film and the song? - nowhere to be seen. Finding the right music that does the movie some justice is proving to be difficult. I don’t know how many of you on my flist have seen the film? It’s set early 20th century. What would you do? Do you have any suggestions? What I am looking for is either gospel, jazz/blues or a mix. I have looked at various artists both black and white singers but nothing has clicked yet.

Anyway if you think you might be able to help please comment. Throw some artist names my way. :D

ETA: I am open to instrumentals as well.

I've just gone and bought these souped up new speakers. I thought my old ones were decent enough (though dying) but these are something else! The woofer size is huge! It has a remote control and it's power is 110 watts. I don't really know how great that is in terms of specs but they are amazing compared to what I had. Everything sounds so much richer I am in audio heaven. lol

So now I've got to go watch all my fav vids another dozen times each! :D

As seen on [livejournal.com profile] wickedripeplum's LJ

Go to Music Outfitters and put your birth year into the search thingy. The first link is likely the top 100 songs of that year. Cut and paste that list here. Bold the ones you actually like. Understand that the word "like" in this case means, in the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the radio station from". Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite.
