Video Title: Club Foot
Song Title/Artist: Club Foot - Kasabian
Show: Life On Mars
Summary: This vid did my head in beyond belief. It contains footage from all 8 episodes but does not spoil any big plot points. It focuses on the relationship between Sam and Gene and therefore plays up the buddy cop aspect of the show. I call it a slash vid or you could just say it is Sam and Gene kicking ass.
Length/Format: 2.30, (wmv, Xvid)

I know what you mean. So often a show doesn't know what to do with itself in the second season because it used all its ideas in the first and so progressively digs itself into a whole during the second season.

I saw that you friended me some time ago but because we hadn't really communicated it seemed strange adding you back but I will do now. We seem to have a number of shows in common.

Yeah, and there are so many potential pitfalls! Sam/Gene are sort of friends by the end of season 1, so I hope they find a way to keep their relationship interesting but build on that trust and friendship at the same time.

They've got lots of opportiunities for interesting storylines for Chris/Sam. He's eagier to learn from both Gene and Sam and it'll be nice to see him grow as a character. Loved that moment in episode 7 where Sam and Chris talked about that tape. It was awesome to see both of them in a non-comedic scene

Sam/Annie could be dangerous. They definitely have to do something about them, and I don't really care which way it goes if they do it right, y'know? But it's got potential for disaster written all over it. Or it could turn out really, really well. Like Farscape, you don't care what the writers do to the characters, you just love them for taking risks with those characters and watch the story unfold.

I'm really looking forward to more Sam/Ray. The writers have got plenty of opportunity to keep their relationship interesting, that's for sure.

Also love the cop show element and that the series is set in Manchester. They capture that feeling really well, IMHO. When I was in 9th grade, I went on a school exchange to Manchester (my first exposure to English native speakers) and I was shocked because it took me a few hours to understand my host family properly. :)

All in all, I don't think they'll screw up, but you never know, right? I saw an interview with John Simm a few weeks ago and he seemed to be excited about filming season 2, so I hope it's good. ;)

Yeah, that's me. I'm not shy in person, but on the internet... I'm a bit more reserved, I guess. I like getting to know people at a slow pace. And if I don't feel like I have something interesting to contribute, I don't say anything... which is why I don't post that often. I don't wanna bore people to death. Also, I don't have a lot of free-time which hinders my online activities. Top make things worse, I've recently developed an interest in vidding (I've enjoyed watching fanvids for years, but we got a new computer recently and I've started thinking about making my own vids), and in the meantime it can't hurt to keep track of all the good vids out there so I know what I'm up against. ;)

I think there is scope for some interesting character development in LOM. There is definitely room for Chris to break out of his comic relief box and be more kind of torn between the way Gene does things and the way Sam does. As for Annie I like her a lot but personally I'm not very keen on her and Sam as a couple. I think it would feel a bit too obvious for a show that plays with the rules as much as LOM does.

I read somewhere that the next series will introduce more characters from Sam's past and I'm looking forward to seeing how that is handled.

I'm quite shy in real life and on the net. If you look at my posts they are normally vids, art or memes. So I guess that is another thing we have in common.

Best of luck with vidding it is an incredibly addictive hobby and you will never be able to hear a song again without thinking "Oh that is so perfect for..." it won't be but you will think it anyway.

I dropped by your lJ and saw the rec you gave for "Club Foot" thank you muchly for that! :D
